How Milo works

Milo uses GPS technology to identify your vehicle’s location. The location is identified by detecting signals from GPS satellites in the sky. That means that for good reception, Milo should be placed in a location that has at least partial window view (ex. – dashboard, front console, between front seats, etc.).

Milo records where and when you start and stop your vehicle, and tracks the actual distance you travel. This information is recorded on the device and is not transmitted anywhere until you are ready to review the information.

When you need to generate a mileage log, Milo becomes a USB memory stick. Milo can be connected to any computer with a USB port to transfer the data to your secure account on Milo Web Center.

With a few clicks Milo Web Center turns you records into an intelligent log that:

    • Identifies the start and stop time and address of every trip
    • Differentiates between Business and Personal trips
    • Identifies all Commute trips between home and office
    • Ignores irrelevant intermediate stops for gas or coffee
    • Documents the business purpose of your trips from Microsoft Outlook Calendar events and Contacts

All this amounts to a very useful business tool that can show a full year worth of business activity in a snap.
